About Lancaster County Criminal History

Lancaster County criminal records are divided among local police departments, Lancaster County Prison, the county courts, the Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository, the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, and the Pennsylvania State Police Megan's Law Public Website. This private resource organizes those official channels so readers can identify the right custodian, compare the scope of different records, and find the current government portal or contact without treating any one search as a complete history.

Why We Built This Site

Pennsylvania offers several public access routes, yet each answers a narrow question. Lancaster County Prison keeps county custody information. The Unified Judicial System and Clerk of Courts provide case events and dispositions. Pennsylvania State Police runs PATCH for repository checks and maintains the Megan's Law public registry. State custody and parole information comes from the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. We built this resource to connect those distinct systems with the Lancaster offices, request steps, fees, and limits that determine where a record can be found.

What You Will Find Here

  • Local record paths: how Lancaster County court, police, booking, and custody records are located
  • Official check steps: how PATCH name checks, subject review, and IdentoGO fingerprint channels differ
  • Agency contacts: where Lancaster Clerk of Courts, County Prison, and statewide custodians can be reached
  • Access limits: how Pennsylvania expungement, Clean Slate limited access, and public-record rules affect results

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Pennsylvania court, Lancaster County office, police department, or state agency. Those limits matter:

  • We do not issue certified court files, repository responses, or police records
  • We cannot submit a records request, expungement petition, or correction challenge for a reader
  • We do not run an official criminal history check for any person
  • We cannot interpret a warrant, charge, or eligibility rule as legal advice
  • We cannot promise that a government fee, form, office hour, or portal will never change

Only the office that maintains the source record can provide an official copy. Lancaster Clerk of Courts, the relevant police agency, Lancaster County Prison, or Pennsylvania State Police must issue the document.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. Each provider controls its own service, results, and prices. We may receive a referral payment if a visitor follows one of those tools and purchases a service, which supports the cost of operating this resource. We neither set a partner's charges nor decide what its search returns.
